A curfew has been imposed in the Iraqi city of Kirkuk after one protester was killed and several others injured.
Security forces dispersed rival demonstrations by Kurdish and Arab residents over the Kurdistan Democratic Party's return to the political arena.
Al Jazeera’s Mahmoud Abdelwahed reports from the capital, Baghdad.
