‘Globe of Death’ attraction goes spectacularly wrong

It’s like how we all imagined the Thunderdome from Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome to be, before it turned out to be an oddly dressed Tina Turner yelling at bungee cords. The ‘Globe of Death’ is a Chinese family attraction that sees two men enter, and, if all goes to plan, two men leave after performing a delightful display of gravity defying motorcycle antics while slightly on fire. But this time, gravity won, and the poor rider ended up rather a lot on fire.

Somehow, during this upside-while-on-fire entertainment show, the rider failed to climb the inside of the ball, falling and becoming upside down and on fire, but in a bad way, much to the horror of the audience, who screamed as the ‘Globe of Death’ became a ball full of horrible injuries. The rider was rushed to hospital, where he is said to have suffered unspecified injuries to his arms and legs.

Fans of two wheels and closed topological surfaces will be pleased to know that the Globe of Death is once again entertaining Chinese children.
