3 Major Bus Problems in 400 Miles! Skoolie Travel Timelapse - Calgary to Grande Prairie

We decided to document our journey to Alaska! In part 2 of our journey, we travel form Calgary to Grande Prairie. Along the way, we had to stop in Edmonton to replace the tie rod on the bus. The next day we had a transmission programing issue pop up where the bus would shift as fast as possible to 4th gear if you let up on the throttle pedal (something that should only happen when an exhaust brake is active). This made for a very stressful day of driving which culminated in the jeep front bumper partially falling off due to some bolts stripping out. Luckily that problem happened when we were on a dead-end road with no traffic. I then spent the next few days repairing and reinforcing the front bumper.

We are a husband and wife team that loves to take on hard projects. We finished our bus project after 2 years of hard work and are now enjoying life on the road. We plan to travel for a year or two more while we prepare to homestead in northern Idaho or western Montana. Come join us as we document our journey.
