Biden, DeSantis will not meet during president's Florida trip

President Biden initially said he would meet with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis while touring Idalia damage in Florida on Saturday; however, a spokesperson for DeSantis said that meeting would not happen and would pose a security risk.

While preparing to leave for Florida, Biden was asked what happened to the meeting with DeSantis. He responded, "I don't know. He won't be there."

Idalia made landfall Wednesday morning near Keaton Beach, Florida as a Category 3 Hurricane with maximum sustained winds of 125 miles per hour.

Biden is expected to survey the damage, then speak in Live Oak, Florida.
