Teacher Jamie Craig fatally stabbed in Kansas

DailyKenn.com — 44-year-old school teacher Jamie Craig was stabbed to death in Kansas City, KS.

An unidentified 14-year-old male was arrested.

"Craig's family is also trying to help her three-year-old son understand she isn't coming home," kshb.com reported. "He was there and just says, 'Mommy owie, mommy owie,' and it just breaks our heart because he was there and we have no idea what he saw."

When police arrived at Craig's apartment, they were greeted by her son who informed them that his mom had a "boo-boo."

The 14-year-old was not her student. The circumstances surrounding the deadly attack were not reported. The site of the stabbing was not noted.

The census track at 1700 block of East Missouri Ave. where Craig died is reportedly 70 percent black; what some may call an "urban jungle".
