What Sin Caused the World to be Destroyed in the Flood

We’ve all asked the question. Why did God destroy the earth in a flood? We know Noah took 8 people on the ark. Himself, his wife, 3 sons, and their wives. Noah also took a male and female of all the animals on the ark. This gives us a clue.
When we consider the original Hebrew language Moses used to write Genesis and his other 4 books, we know the original Hebrew words often contained more than one meaning. In this case we unearth dual meanings for a number of common words in Genesis chapter 6 we often take for granted. We need to consider the story of the flood from God’s point of view looking at the possible translations for those common words in Genesis. Do those words tell us why God decided to destroy the earth in the flood?
