Pupils at 104 schools in England have been unable to start the school year due to the fact that their educational institutions are in a state of disrepair, many literally falling apart. Thousands more schools may be closed after inspections.

Today almost all British newspapers are devoted to this topic. We read and read a lot of articles, complaints, lamentations, curses against the government - and at least one of the authors dares to suggest that maybe the billions we are sending to the Ukrainian war should be spent on repairing English schools!

But you understand, the proposal is ridiculous, and in modern Britain you can get a slap on the wrist for it!
