Wagner Group chief Yevgeny Prigozhin said Saturday that a contingent of his fighters who advanced towards Moscow in what he described as a rebellion against Russian military leaders would turn back to avoid bloodshed, de-escalating a major challenge to President Vladimir Putin's grip on power.
