Expect it to be hot for the holiday with a forecast high of 103 in Bakersfield and air quality that's unhealthy for sensitive groups. The sun sets at 8:15 tonight but it won't be dark until about 9 p.m. for you to set off your fireworks and at that time it will still be in the low 90s. I'm calling for a high of 98 in Lake Isabella with air quality that is unhealthy due to smoke from the Schaeffer Fire. It will be 92 in Tehachapi for the All American Hot Dog Festival & Frazier Park will see 85.
