Grabbing the Militech Basilisk with the Aldecaldos.

Given how distraught Panam was when she discovered that Scorpion had been killed by Kang Tao (no thanks to her bringing down the Kang Tao AV), I find this whole "let's grab the huge battle tank, but this time risk the lives of the Aldecaldos in an up close firefight with the Militech convoy!" premise to be a bit silly.

Panam caught a stray round from a drone just following the crashing AV when her trucks turret jammed. Any one of her friends could easily have been smoked by Militech in a gunfight out in the open along that highway. Yet she's somehow all bent out of shape when Saul is pissed off about it?

What kind of writing is that? Militech are supposed to just let some random Nomads show up without warning, hijack one of their tanks and just let them ride off into the sunset? They'll just take that L and move on? Pay attention to the dialogue, they mention Militech was shipping it out to be sold. That's an awkward conversation to have with the buyer, "Oh yeah about the tank you ordered, it's been stolen by some yokels out on the road, sorry about that."

Saul is right to be all fired up when he sees those trucks come rolling into camp. No way did any of Panams friends have time to neutralise any trackers Militech would undoubtedly have either on the vehicles or buried in the Basilisk parts.

And not one Militech soldier in that convoy radioed in the attack when their drone support started getting knocked off? Militech 100% knows where their stolen hardware is.

Another opportunity lost to explore different outcomes. Instead of Wraiths showing up just to get wrecked by V driving the Basilisk, CDPR needed to explore the posibility of Militech showing up to recover their property and the additional fallout between Panam and Saul it would undoubtedly bring.
