Thrill seekers on the G-Force roller coaster at the Drayton Manor amusement park have found themselves in a blood freezing situation, then the £3 million ride experienced a temporary stoppage mid ride, leaving the riders literally hanging upside down. The incident happened on 1 July in the amusements park in Staffordshire, UK. Luckily, no one of the visitors were hurt.

In a short statement, Drayton Manor officials said that all guests were safely removed from the ride and that at no point was the safety of the riders compromised.

An eyewitness from the park wrote on their Facebook profile that the guests weren't stranded midair for too long, because the staff from the park managed to move the carriage quickly. The ride was back and running after the incident.

The G-Force roller coaster was opened in July 2005, with opera singers G4 singing at the event. It promised to take passengers through “high-banked twists and turns at speeds of up to 45 mph and at heights of more than 65 ft.” What really made this ride unique was that each of the two carriages included a “Bog Boy” seat, designed to accommodate people who usually wouldn't be allowed on rides due to their height or weight.
