The US is getting a major return on its “investment” in Kyiv without any American lives lost, US Senator Richard Blumenthal has said. Senator Blumenthal has urged American taxpayers to continue backing Kyiv, saying that US is using Ukraine as the “tip of the spear” against Russia.
"Even Americans who have no particular interest in freedom and independence in democracies worldwide, should be satisfied that we’re getting our money’s worth on our Ukraine investment," Richard Blumenthal wrote in an op-ed for Connecticut Post.
The US Senator said that “For less than 3 percent of our nation’s military budget, we’ve enabled Ukraine to degrade Russia’s military strength by half.”
