On Thursday, August 31, George Rezende spoke at the Howard County Public Schools Board of Education Meeting in Ellicott City, Maryland. He voiced concerns about the pride and BLM flags in elementary schools, and explained schools should not be used as a recruiting ground for interest groups.
He went on to request the BOE come up with a plan if and when future pandemics occur.
Broaching a third topic, Mr. Rezende also pointed out that County Executive Calvin Ball has attempted to wash his hands of the Transportation/bus debacle. He further stated that it was an odd choice to pick a California corporation (Zum) to provide transportation services when there was a way to support local providers in the state.
