Okay, so I know what you’re all wondering. What on earth is a protective hairstyle anyways? A protective hairstyle is a style in which your hair is up off of your body, not rubbing against anything and the ends specifically are tucked away inside of the style. So they’re not exposed to the air, they’re not exposed to any friction. They’re not exposed to any sort of weather elements. So usually, this is some kind of updo like a bun, a chignon, milkmaids braids. Like what you see me wearing here and really there’s all number of updos and protective styles that we can learn for our hair. This is just a very short list.
