Ultima VII: The Black Gate — Inner Circles and Pyramid Schemes | DOS [#10]

In their last adventure the Avatar and his Companions sought an audience with Draxinusom… King of the Gargoyles! Once possessing the legendary "Ethereal Ring," he was forced to part with it when he and his people fled their destroyed homeland, selling it to the mad "Sultan of Spektran," Martingo. Wresting the ring from the sultan's infamous vault, the Avatar required it to pass the wards of the "Tetrahedron Generator" — one of three, blackrock-forged devices that have been disrupting the magical ether permeating the world!

While in the area the Avatar and his Companions paid a visit to Serpent's Hold, home to the knights of Britannia known for their courage and nobility… and, even there, the Fellowship held sway among its members, even leading one to deface a statue of Lord British! Afterwards, the heroes attempted to make their way into the Dungeon of Despise, only to retreat; clearly ill-equipped, the Avatar had no other choice but to do the unthinkable — speak with Batlin, Head of the Fellowship, and join his nefarious order.

Now at the helm of a new ship, the "Nymphet," and well-stocked with food and ammunition, the Avatar seeks to learn about the Fellowship from their own members, before challenging the depths of the underworld in order to destroy the "Tetrahedron Generator" and bring magic back to the world!
