Savannah Great Horned Owls Are Back-Cam Two 🦉 08/31/23 05:55

After a long vacation, the Great Horned Owls return to the nest. Off-cam they make territorial calls to let all those around know that this is their claimed territory which can reach up to 5 miles around the surrounding area. The male arrives first at the nest. While still doing their territorial calls back and forth, he checks around a bit and does some nestorations. After a while, the female drops down from the Fairway Branch as the male flies back up. She only stays long enough to look around, and then she flies up on the branch with her mate. The two then depart out of the cam range. The male will take her to several locations and it will be up to the female as to which place she feels the most comfortable to brood her eggs.
