'Crac!' articulates the history, traditions, and music of fast-changing
Quebec by following a rocking chair's life through the generations of the
family that owns it. Life slips past to the rhythm of dancing images
swept away by stirring music. Nostalgia for the past and impact of modern
times are presented as models of savoir-faire.

The film has won 23 awards so far, including the 1981 Academy Award for
Best Animated Short Film, and the 1982 Oscar for Best Animated Short Film.
Selected among the best animated films of the last 30 years, 'Crac!' has
won the Audience Prize at the Annecy International Animated Film Festival
in 1990.
