Planting Green into Summer Food Plots - Transforming a small farm to a hunting paradise

In this video we are planting green through our summer food plots. We planted a summer mix in the spring then did a burn down spray and planted sunflowers and soybeans after the drought subsided in July.
This mix will provide deer plenty of food and attraction for this hunting season and feed deer through the winter months and into the critical early spring.
By habituating deer with summer food and providing safe thickets for sanctuary, we have attracted many young bucks as well as a couple of older age class bucks that hang around on this 70 acre property full time.
Even if some of the bucks start to roam, they will be back when food sources dwindle. They now know where there is food and safety, so we should collect bucks during hunting season. This is a new property I am working on so I expect to collect more of the older age class bucks as the years go by.
