Ultima VII: The Black Gate — A Fellowship Paid in Blood | DOS [#02]

So as my usual Tuesday plans have fallen through again — and recognizing that this is a _*long*_ game — I've decided to continue on with the quest sooner than intended.

In the last stream the Avatar returned to Britannia after an absence of _200 years,_ finding that much of the world has changed around him — not just geographically, but socially, too. Fortunately one of his dearest companions, Iolo the Bard, was there to great him… but under less than kind circumstances, as the Avatar is immediately thrust into a murder investigation against the blacksmith of Trinsic, Christopher.

Taking the smith's son, "Spark," under his wing, the Avatar has made the trek to the distant town of Britain in order to seek the guidance of the land's sovereign, Lord British, and to ascertain clues needed to solve Christopher's murder… pointing to a particular suspect with a hook-for-a-hand, as well as the rise of a mysterious philosophical society called "The Fellowship."
