Life-Sized Chess Set On Display At Galt Museum | August 15, 2023 | Micah Quinn | Bridge City News

A special life-sized chess set is celebrating its 10th anniversary in Lethbridge. It was carefully constructed by members of the Chinook Woodturning Guild and features 32 giant chess pieces made from 500 square board feet of maple and walnut wood. BCN’s Micah Quinn was at the Galt Museum & Archives on Tuesday morning to get a closer look at the intricate chess board where a noteworthy game was on full display.
