Belligerent Woman Arrested for DUI after Police Pursuit and Taken to Jail | Blue Patrol Bodycam

On the evening of October 27, 2022 around 7:00 PM, Scotch Plains Police were called to the Delta gas station at 2040 Route 22 with a report of a 2004 Mercedes attempting to strike two other people. Officer Damian Serafin spotted the vehicle shortly thereafter and initiated a pursuit. The vehicle ultimately stopped in front of the Life Storage building in Mountainside. The driver of the Mercedes, later identified as 34-year-old Quanirrah Foster, was belligerent and in denial of what had just transpired.

Foster continued to assault the officers, before she was eventually taken to the Scotch Plains Police HQ. Once at police HQ, she bit Officer Baltazar and spit on the EMTs who were called to evaluate her. Based on her state of mind, she was taken to Trinitas Regional Medical Center in Elizabeth, New Jersey for further evaluation. She was returned to Scotch Plains Police HQ on the morning of October 28, 2022 after spending the night at the hospital.

Later that afternoon at police HQ, the officers retrieved her belongings and told her what she was going to be charged with. The officers told her that she was going to be transported to the Union County Jail in Elizabeth, New Jersey. Around 4:15 PM on October 28th, she was transferred to the Union County Jail, where she stayed until her release on November 1, 2022. She was issued the following summonses: Operating under the influence, resisting arrest, improper passing, reckless driving, leaving the scene of an accident involving property damage, careless driving, no liability insurance on motor vehicle, disregarding a stop sign, traffic on marked lanes – unsafe lane change, reckless driving, careless driving, failure to give proper signal, no liability insurance coverage, failure to have inspection, traffic on marked lanes, safety glass requirement, and vehicle in unsafe condition.
