We're celebrating humanity's burgeoning relationship with our closest planetary neighbour by exploring Mars in 360 VR video. Perfect for viewing on Oculus Rift and Oculus Quest, HTC Vive Cosmos, Playstation VR and Samsung Gear VR, this video details the history of Mars in our skies, from the story behind its name and its moons to the many milestones of exploration over the last century.

We're in an exciting time for Mars, with civil and commercial organisations alike rushing to visit, explore and even settle the planet. NASA, China's CNSA and the United Arab Emirates' space agency MBRSC all currently have craft in or above the Martian surface conducting research, and SpaceX, Blue Origin and Virgin Galactic are all famously eyeing up the planet for its potential for colonisation and terraforming.

Sent Into Space are the Near Space experts.

We use lighter-than-air gas balloons to travel to the upper stratosphere into Near Space, where you can see the curvature of the Earth (Flat Earth believers need not reply!), the black vacuum of space and the thin blue line of the Earth's atmosphere on the horizon.

This is more than just a GoPro on a weather balloon. We build a bespoke launch vehicle for each flight utilising the latest in camera technology and long-range radio and satellite communications. We film HD video of the Earth from space for stunning images of the curvature of the Earth.

With over 600 successful flights over the last decade, we're the only company to go to when you want to launch something into space. To find out more, visit https://www.sentintospace.com
