Prince Harry Crashes Premiere of His Own TV Series ‘Heart of Invictus’

Prince Harry made a surprise appearance at the premiere of his own TV show in California!

The ‘Heart of Invictus’ series takes an in-depth look at the Invictus Games and the role of its founder Prince Harry. The organizers describe the games as ‘an international sporting event for wounded, injured and sick servicemen and women’.

Prince Harry founded the games in 2014, while he was still serving in the British Army, and he’s remained its patron ever since. The prince served in the army for 10 years, completing two tours of Afghanistan, where he piloted Apache helicopter gunships. When he returned from the war, he said that painful memories of the loss of his mother, Princess Diana, when he was 12 years old, resurfaced.

On a visit to a US military base with Michelle Obama and Jill Biden in 2015, he spoke about why the Invictus Games were so important to him.

The new TV show, released today, will look at the hard journeys made by those who serve: from soldiers to competitors. It will also examine Prince Harry’s motivations for starting the games and his current role as patron.
