Afghanistan, banking on a fine batting display from Rahmanullah Gurbaz (151), Ibrahim Zadran (80), and Mohammad Nabi (29) put 300/5 runs on the board. They started the 2nd inning well and kept taking wickets but Imam Ul Haq (91), Babar Azam (53), and Shadab Khan (48) batted well to keep Pakistan in the game until Naseem Shah (10*) struck two boundaries in the final over to help Pakistan win a nail-biting game by 1 wicket and take 2-0 lead in the series.
