Pillars of Eternity 1, Part 47: Oldsong, Northweald and Prep for the Finale

I adore the AI generated Baby Otter art. It feels like a kid's show that would show up on Netflix to make parents feel like "oh, this is safe screentime." I like the Sky Dragon; I feel like the conflict is a bit awkward. Everyone seems... just OK with the Sky Dragon living there now. Hylea says the Sky Dragon is going to destroy a bunch of stuff, but it doesn't seem that. It's weird Grieving Mother doesn't have anything to say to Hylea's people, but whatever.

Northweald feels pretty lame; it just doesn't scale up enough to account for White March, like most of Act 3. All the god quests drag things out, and I just don't really like any of them, except maybe Hylea, so I only did them because it seems like letting the frost go was going to damage or destroy Twin Elms, and the druid lady realized that she was cheating death was a bad thing. Same with Galawain's quest -- resolving the infighting at the Maw was probably a good thing.

I liked having those last few bounties to bring our hirelings on one last hurrah before the end game. Our end party is Eder, Grieving Mother, Aloth, Hiravias and Durance -- everyone who has a personal bone to pick with Thaos or Woedica. And Hiravias, who has a quest on the Burial Islands, and I'm not going and coming back. We're going to the end next time.
