Week 2 of "Good Boundaries and Goodbyes"

Key Points:
*Love can be unconditional but relational access never should be
*Like God, we must require from people the responsibility necessary to grant the amount of access we allow them to have in our lives
*People who are irresponsible with our hearts should not be granted great access to our hearts
*Where there is an abundance of chaos, there is usually a lack of good boundaries
*Boundaries are necessary when we have found that the level of access we've given someone isn't met with the same level of responsibility
*Boundaries are placed so that we can be healthy and have clarity on what we will or will not engage in in our relationships. They are not used to try to make the person change.
*It is not unchristian to require people to treat you in healthy ways and it is important we take ownership in ways we've contributed to unhealthy relationship dynamics

Key Verses:
"Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it." Proverbs 4:23

"Now that you have purified yourselves by obeying the truth so that you have sincere love for each other, love one another deeply, from the heart."
1 Peter 2:2

"A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another."
John 13:34-35
