Russian President Vladimir Putin has failed to attend the funeral for Wagner Group leader Yevgeny Prigozhin, who was killed when his jet crashed en route from Moscow to St Petersburg in late August. Makeshift memorials to Prigozhin and other Wagner leaders who perished in the tragedy have grown substantially his death was confirmed, two months after he launched a failed coup against Putin. Prigozhin was buried in a private ceremony at Porokhovskoye Cemetery in Saint Petersburg, beside his father.
