The BFG movie for kids Fantasy & Adventure movie
The BFG is a 2016 fantasy adventure film directed and co-produced by Steven Spielberg, written by Melissa Mathison (her final film before her 2015 death), and based on Roald Dahl's 1982 novel of the same name. The film stars Mark Rylance, and Ruby Barnhill in her film debut, Penelope Wilton, Jemaine Clement, Rebecca Hall, Rafe Spall, and Bill Hader. In the film, a 10-year-old orphaned girl named Sophie befriends a benevolent giant dubbed the "Big Friendly Giant", who takes her to Giant Country, where they attempt to stop the man-eating giants that are invading the human world.
The film begins with Sophie, a lonely orphan girl living in a London orphanage, being kidnapped by the BFG, a giant who is 24 feet tall and has a kind and gentle personality. The BFG takes Sophie to Giant Country, where she meets other giants who are not as friendly as him. These giants are man-eating and they often raid the human world to steal children.
Sophie and the BFG team up to stop the man-eating giants. The BFG uses his dream trumpet to create nightmares that will scare the giants away. Sophie helps the BFG to get to London and meet with Queen Victoria, who agrees to help them stop the giants.
The BFG and Sophie are successful in their mission and the man-eating giants are defeated. The film ends with Sophie being adopted by the BFG and living with him in Giant Country.
The BFG is a heartwarming and imaginative film that celebrates the power of friendship and the importance of standing up for what is right. The film is visually stunning and the performances by Mark Rylance and Ruby Barnhill are excellent. The BFG is a must-see for fans of Roald Dahl and fantasy films.
Here are some of the main themes of the film:
