Russia Confirms Prigozhin's Death, Moscow Downs Ukrainian Drones

Russia's investigative committee has officially confirmed the death of Yevgeny Prigozhin, after what it calls genetic examinations. However, the Russian investigative committee has not revealed the cause of the plane crash. Some Western analysts appeared sceptical in their response to the Russian committee’s report. The committee also said the nine others on board the plane had died alongside the Wagner boss. Russia said that Ukrainian forces launched drones that targeted the country’s Kursk and Bryansk region. Russia’s Defence Ministry said that its forces destroyed two Ukrainian drones using air defences. This comes a day after Russia reported thwarting Ukrainian drones in the Moscow and Belgorod regions.
