“GOD IS . . . COMPASSIONATE"

COMPASSION: “The feeling that arises when you are confronted with another’s suffering and feel motivated to relieve that suffering.”
Scripture: Luke 10:25-37

1. Compassion is not ACADEMIC
You don't LEARN to be compassionate in a book.
2. Compassion is not ABSTRACT
It's not something we do in general. It's something we do specifically.
3. Compassion is not AFRAID
When you really have compassion, you jump over the things that stand in your way to meet the need of the person who has come across your path.
4. Compassion is not ANALYTICAL
"The paralysis of analysis” . . . The inability to make crucial decisions in a timely manner because of over-thinking a problem.
5. Compassion “IS” AN AMOUNT
An Amount of : Money, Time, Energy, Effort
6. COMPASSION “IS” ACTION
Acting on what we see

Psalm 103 : “The Lord is compassionate, and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love.”

GOD IS COMPASSIONATE TO THE
