Salt in the washing machine sounds strange at first, but it has a very good reason! Why exactly and how you can use the whole thing, I explain to you once in this video!

Because salt is a natural fabric softener and can therefore be used as a fabric softener replacement. Fabric softener is generally hard in the criticism, because animal waste is included in it. Therefore, salt is a perfect substitute for fabric softener. It is more environmentally friendly and also suitable for allergy sufferers. Moreover, it is much cheaper to use salt instead of fabric softener.

To do this, you fill your washing machine with washing powder as usual. But instead of putting fabric softener in the compartment, add 1-2 tablespoons of salt. Wash your clothes as usual and dry them afterwards. You'll notice that salt keeps your laundry nice and soft, just like fabric softener would.

Therefore, try this trick once and do without fabric softener for your laundry in the future!
