With eggs, you should always pay attention to the expiration date when you eat them. Because if the eggs are expired, you could catch salmonella poisoning. With that said, while the best before date is a good place to start, often eggs are still edible after the expiration date. And to really find out if an egg is still good, all you need is a glass of water. In this video I show you how it works.

Fill the glass halfway with water and put the egg in it. Depending on what the egg is doing now, you can tell if the egg is still edible or not. Because if the egg goes straight up and floats on the surface of the water, it is definitely no longer edible and you should throw it away.

However, if the egg sinks directly to the bottom, then it is still edible. This is how you can tell if an egg is still good or not. Try it out with the eggs you have!
