lon Musk has been a vocal supporter of cryptocurrency, and he has hinted that he plans to integrate crypto payments into Twitter (now known as X). In January 2023, it was reported that Musk had instructed his developers to build Twitter's payments system in such a way that crypto functionality can be added in the future.

In April 2023, Musk announced that X would soon offer crypto and stock trading through a partnership with eToro. This suggests that Musk is serious about making X a hub for cryptocurrency activity.

In August 2023, X received a currency transmission license from the state of Rhode Island. This license allows X to conduct crypto transactions and process them in Rhode Island. X has also received currency transmission licenses from six other states.

These developments suggest that X is getting closer to offering crypto payments. However, there is no official announcement yet from X about when or which cryptocurrencies will be supported.

Some of the cryptocurrencies that Musk has supported in the past include Bitcoin, Dogecoin, and Ethereum. It is possible that these cryptocurrencies will be supported on X, but it is also possible that other cryptocurrencies will be added.

Only time will tell when X will start offering crypto payments, but recent developments suggest that it is only a matter of time.
