Florida governor Ron DeSantis suspended Andrew Warren for neglect of duty and incompetence. After the suspension Warren went to federal court with a state law "quo warranto" claim (federal courts do not have jurisdiction over state law claims between residents of the same state). The federal court dismissed his claim. Then he waited five months (until the Senate was out of session) to ask the Florida Supreme Court for help.

That did not go well.
