Due to recent mountain lion activity at Wind Cave, we thought we'd take this 2016 video out of the vault and remind you how to handle an encounter.

🐱Do not hike alone. Hike in groups, with adults closely supervising children. Keep children close to you. Keep children within your sight at all times.

If you see a mountain lion:

🐱Stay calm. Hold your ground or back away slowly. Face it and stand upright.

🐱Do not approach. Most will try to avoid a confrontation.

🐱Do not run. Stand and face the animal. Make eye contact. Pick up children
