How to tell if a dog DOES want belly rubs??

Our last video I think shocked a lot of people that this body language can have two completely different meanings.

While it can be an appeasement behavior for some dogs, for others it is a friendly gesture.

This dog, for instance, is super friendly and ALWAYS asking for pets 😅

Notice how she rolls over well before I even step into her space. She is telling me she is comfortable around me and would like some attention.

Her head stays on the ground, she’s not scanning and watching my every move, and her eyes are soft and blinking.

You can tell a lot about a dog by their face/eyes, and their tail is typically the last thing we pay attention to.

Remember, it’s the head that has the teeth! Not the tail lol

So be aware and read the situation before moving in to pet a dog. They are not all the same.

It’s SO important to read the dog in front of you.
