How to identify Queen of Honey Bee 🐝
6
The queen honey bee is the sole fertile female in a honey bee colony. She is larger than other bees and her primary role is to lay eggs, ensuring the survival of the colony. She emits pheromones that regulate the behavior and development of the other bees, maintaining the social structure within the hive. If the queen bee dies or becomes less productive, the colony may raise a new queen by selecting a young larva and feeding it royal jelly.
