'Unlike Paris, Miami was a WELL THOUGHT OUT DECISION!' | Messi says PSG was not planned or desired

After leading Inter Miami to a final and to the possibility of the first title in its history, Argentine star Lionel Messi said Thursday that he is "very happy" about the decision to move to the United States.

Messi, who lifted the World Cup in Qatar eight months ago, acknowledged that the biggest difficulty he faced when he arrived in Miami "was the heat and humidity."

He noted that playing in stadiums with synthetic grass was not a problem because he began his football career in the minor categories of Barcelona on that surface.

This same Thursday Messi was among the three nominees for the award for the best player of the year in Europe last season, an award that could lead him later towards the eighth Ballon d'Or of his career.
