Does your carpet just smell musty or generally not so nice anymore? That always happens after a while. Or it could be because you had something spill or dump on the carpet. Pet urine or vomit from a pet can also make for a pretty bad smell in the carpet, even if the stain is long gone. But in this video, I'll show you how you can then also get the smells removed super easily.

And all you need is a tried and true household remedy. And that is baking soda! Because soda binds odors and can ensure that your carpet smells fresh again. Take some baking soda and sprinkle it either over your entire carpet or only on the area that does not smell so good. Work it even a little bit into the fibers. A dishwashing brush, for example, is perfect for this.

Now leave everything to soak in for a few hours. With strong smells gladly also a whole day long. And when the time is up, simply vacuum up the baking soda from the carpet. By doing this, you also remove bad odors from your vacuum cleaner. And you'll be rid of the bad odors from your stinky carpet.
