How is Maui Fire "Deadliest" Fire without a total "Death Count" yet?

How can they claim the Maui Fire to be the "Deadliest" Fire in US History when they don't even have a total fatality count yet??
As of now, the Chicago Fire was the "Deadliest" Fire in US History with over 1000 casualties.
So are they saying they know the toll will be greater than the Chicago Fire casualties?
How would they know right now when official total is only at 120?
Are the claims correct that they have already used 400 body bags so they know at this rate the toll will far exceed the Chicago Fire???
Time will tell!!!
I predict they won't allow the number to be much higher than 1000, and will claim this fire just barely exceeded the tolls of the Chicago Fire!
Let's see if I'm right again!
