Deep water summer crappie, crappie fishing on jigs, catch clean and cook

Took the family out to lake Lavon Tx for some panfish. We started on the north end of the lake looking for crappie and bream. We scanned and looked for structure from 2ft of water till we hit 30ft. We located a roadbed that had crappie stacked on top of it. Managed to catch enough for dinner.

water was 90+ degress and the outside air temp was 104. We are using handtiedcrappiejig.com black and truss, white and truss, in 1/8 or 1/16 oz. largest fish was 14 inches long. I managed to catch a few catfish and lose a few fish that I could not identify.

I am using B&M rods in 10 and 11 ft, with 20lb braid.
