IAEA Reports on the Release of Fukushima Daiichi ALPS-Treated Water

The impartial evaluation of Japan's intentions to disperse the treated water held at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant by the IAEA is now complete.

Today in Tokyo, Director General Rafael Mariano Grossi gave the report to Prime Minister Fumio Kishida of Japan.

The report is the result of nearly two years of effort by an IAEA Task Force composed of top experts from within the Agency who were advised by internationally renowned nuclear safety experts from eleven different nations.
