12 -24 hrs After Canning

Hi and good morning!

So, after your canned whatever(here Peaches), has sat, unbothered, for 12 - 24 hours, you should check to make sure they are sealed.
It's always fun to hear the cans "pop" as they are cooling and sealing. Some do not tho, and we need to put them in the frig to eat right away. Or within 2 weeks.

The lids should be indented, not sticking out where you can "pop" it. The product is still good, just needs to be put in the refrigerator.

After the cans have sat, I take off rings, wipe the jars, just in case they leaked a little, then label and store.

Some people keep the rings off. I put them back on, because I do not need anything else taking up storage room😄 or put where 🙋‍♀️ can't find them🙈 Oh to be organized 😆

In the past, cold packing is what I did because, I've always canned alone. It can take some time peeling peaches, no matter how you do it. It just seemed easier.
Changing my tune lol. Liked very much how the hot packed, sugar syrup peaches came out!
I left them in the hot syrup until it got to a "foamy" boil. That took the "float" right out of them😄🧡👍👍

Have a great day/week
