The "Polaris" Arctic expedition of 1871, where things went from frosty to downright frostbite-crazy. So, they had this brilliant idea to explore the North Pole, but the ship got stuck in ice like a popsicle in a freezer. They were all like, "No worries, we've got this," until their leader went bananas, accused people of mutiny, and got himself stranded on an iceberg. They built this floating fortress called "Fort Conger" and had to abandon ship. Some of them got lost on the ice, another bunch were munching on shoe leather for sustenance, and the rescue party became the "lost-in-the-Arctic" party. || MishalSides
