All you need is baking soda and some water. Mix a little water with baking soda to make a paste. Then take a cloth and gently wipe the stain or line on your wall with this mixture.

You should quickly see that the line disappears. Then wipe with a damp cloth to remove the sodium bicarbonate residue and the line is history.
