This visual record documents solar activity spanning the period from August 12 to December 22, 2022, meticulously captured by NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO). Orbiting around Earth, SDO has diligently surveyed the Sun in remarkable 4K x 4K resolution for over a dozen years. This continuous stream of data has yielded a multitude of groundbreaking insights into the operations of our nearest star and its impact on the solar system.

Despite its unceasing vigilance focused on the Sun, there are instances when SDO's view is obstructed. Occasional dark frames within the video result from Earth or the Moon momentarily eclipsing SDO as they cross between the spacecraft and the Sun. Furthermore, temporary interruptions stem from instrument maintenance or data anomalies. Each day, SDO transmits a staggering 1.4 terabytes of data to the ground.
