Muscat International Airport
It was officially launched on the 23rd of December 1973. It was first called Seeb international Airport and was changed to Muscat International Airport on the 1st of February 2008. The new name highlights Muscat – a city associated with the history of the country. What is worth mentioning is that approvals for the name change have been obtained by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), and Muscat International Airport is now internationally known. On top of that, the airport played a role in increasing the growth of tourism and business sectors.
