You probably clean your toilet regularly, but what about your cistern? A lot of lime builds up in it too, and even if your toilet is clean but the cistern isn't, the dirt gets back into the toilet every time you flush.

You can descale and clean your cistern super fast and easy. In this video I show you what you need to do. You'll need some water and citric acid.

You lift off the handle plate and then carefully take apart the individual parts, as you can see in my video. After that you have direct access to your cistern. Now mix the cold water with the citric acid.

Pull the flush until all the water is out and then quickly dump the mixture in while the cistern is drawing water. This way everything is well mixed.

Now pull the rinse for a second, so that the citric acid-water mixture also gets everywhere. Then wait a good 1-2 hours. Then rinse and reassemble everything. You've decalcified your toilet cistern and cleaned it beautifully.

Try it out but also with you necessarily once.
