Protect Your Mental Health

One thing that I've really done to protect my mental health is checking out, like learning when to shut off and being okay with it, and just setting clear boundaries with folks. Like I will absolutely kick ass for you every time I'm in this seat. And when I'm not in the seat, I'm gonna be in the seat of where I need to be, whether that's with family, whether that's in meditation, or with myself.

I just wanna share just a few things that have really helped me out. It's really daunting at times. I just keep things really simple and I have my routine to stay grounded. Where I wake up, I do a meditation first thing every morning, and I started with just five minutes and I just started gradually doing time.

I have this concept of don't break the chain. So I just think I just gotta maintain the habit even if I don't do the full thing. I'll stretch every day. Then I'll either do a short workout or I'll go for a walk. Then doing some journaling. I know I used to be an all or none thing, and now I'm like, hey, if I write one sentence, I kept the streak alive. To me it was just about starting the habit. The key thing is just routine.
