Maria McCormick shot this video of an unusual occurrence as her husband Scott was tossing water from their boat into the overflowing St. John's River in Volusia County, Florida. A massive storm just passed the night before, so every time the husband would throw the water out, the river would ripple furiously, as if some kind of mystical sea monster was living down there.

"My husband was bailing water out of our boat after a huge storm. Every time he threw the water we saw splashes in the water. I happened to be recording on one of the tosses and we saw huge splashes of water everywhere. We both looked at each other and said 'I will never swim in there again!'" Maria said about what they have witnessed.

The people of the Internet however are not impressed. The massive and frightening disturbance in the water was in fact an aggregation of manatees and now McCormack and her husband are facing up to 60 days in prison for alleged animal endangerment and cruelty.

You may call them sea cows or even mermaids; no matter what, manatees are the most gentle creatures on the planet. They can be found all over the coast of Florida, where you can kayak alongside them.

Animal endangerment? Cruelty? All the man did was bail water out of his boat! 60 days in prison for THAT? The criminal justice system has gone completely BONKERS!

Where is this boat you see him in? I must be blind * I do not see him bailing any water out of any boat & yes, this couple knew exactly what they were doing * They simply expected everyone who watched this video to be as stupid as them I guess

I guess you ARE blind! At the very start of the video, as he prepares to throw another bucket of water into the water, one can clearly see a corner of the boat in which he is so OBVIOUSLY standing. Now, who's the stupid one? You need to get off your liberal high horse and try a dose of reality for a change!

Hey, butt plug hillbilly...ya you, Jimmi (I imagine that's how you spell it). If YOU look, you'll OBVIOUSLY notice that is not the a square wooden corner of a boat, but the dock. I can tell...I can see the dock post OBVIOUSLY sticking out of the water right next to it...ya know...where it's supposed to be ON A DOCK...OBVIOUSLY! Maybe you should get your redneck head out of her innocent liberal horses arse. Or maybe it isn't your head you are sticking there.

I think you've hit upon a major part of the problem in America today...all the garbage people have ingested over the past 50 plus years.
